Google Transit has been integrated by completely in Google Maps, leaving being in the part of Google Labs. This means that when the user looks for directions in which Google Transit has cover it will have the option to see the means possibilities of transports that exist in this zone.

The advantages for the user are that the public transport is cheaper and probably more express than if the user drives his own car in rush hour. In some areas an option is even available that allows the user to compare the prices of the public transport with those to drive its own vehicle. At the moment the application is only available in San Francisco, Santa Clara, the Fertile valleys, Texas, Japan or China, although the equipment of Google hopes that within few weeks he is available for many more people.
