Mash

Yahoo! it has a new social network, Yahoo! Mash, that works basically like mash-up of FaceBook, Myspace and Wikipedia. They have taken the most popular services of these sites and they have reunited them in a complete social service.

From Myspace it has taken the possibility of designing the own profile, adding bottoms to the personal page, although it has a difference: the users can choose to see the customized page or to see another version of the same one with white bottom and cleaner, than does not take as much in loading itself. From Facebook it takes the library of modules that the users can add to their pages, with some restrictions and of Wikipedia, the possibility that the users publish the pages of their friends. A user can add RSS Feeds to the page of a friend or change the photography to him of the bottom. In addition, as in Wikipedia a history exists in which the users can make changes if something they do not like. Also, the users can close some parts of their page that do not want that nobody can change. At the moment, the social network does not have tool search nor version for moving bodies, but they hope to be developing it with time. For the present beta version, it is necessary to have an invitation to accede.
